How can I add funds to my SmartPass?
To be able to continue using the SmartPass, you must add funds to the SmartPass. You can do this at the Terminals in Punda, Otrobanda and our main office in Buena Vista, with a minimum of ANG. 5,-.
What are the rates for ABC busses?
Punda side (City district) costs ANG 2,00 and the Otrabanda Side (Banda Bou, Tera Kora, Lagun, Westpunt) is ANG 2,50.
From which age must you pay to travel by bus?
Children older than 2 years (2>) old must pay. Under the age of 2 is free, but must be transported on the lap of an adult.
Can I pay with money notes in the bus?
To facilitate the job of our bus drivers, please pay with coins.
As a person that is 65+, how can I become eligible for reduced prices?
A person of 65+ pays ANG 1,75 on all routs on the eastern part of the island and ANG 2,25 on all routes covering the western part of the island, Tera Kora, Lagun and Westpunt. To become eligible, 65+ must register at our headquarters at Industrieterrein z/n, Buena Vista for a SmartPass.
How do I pay to make use of an ABC bus?
You can pay cash on the bus or you can register for a SmartPass at our headquarters in Industrieterrein z/n, Buena Vista. You can also recharge a SmartPass at an ATM at Terminal Punda, Terminal Otrabanda or at our headquarters.
What are ABC’s Office hours?
Our hours are from 07:30 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:30 from Monday till Friday.

Busses start early in the morning; 5:15 a.m., the first busses are already on the route.
How can I qualify for a SmartPass?
For this you must register at ABC headquarters at Industrieterrein Buena Vista z/n from Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 12:00 and between 13:00 and 16:30. The person has to come by ABC offices in Buena Vista, where we will take his/her personal information and a picture.
How can I check the balance of my SmartPass?
To continue to use the SmartPass you must recharge it. You can recharge at Terminal Punda, Terminal Otrabanda or at our headquarters in Buena Vista with a minimum of ANG 5,-.
Where can I hand in a complaint?
To file a complaint, you can fill in the form at “Kontakta ABC” or you can contact us at our headquarters at 724-4222.
My SmartPass won’t work, is it damaged or lost?
If your SmartPass is damaged or lost, you will be charged ANG 5,- to receive a new one. If you lose your SmartPass or it is stolen, come to Terminal Punda, Terminal Otrabanda or our headquarters in Buena Vista and report this. If your SmartPass breaks or is damaged due to negligence, you must pay ANG 5,- for a new one. The SmartPass is valid for 2 years. If you have any problems while using the SmartPass or when recharging it, you can call: 724-4222 for assistance.
How many people can use the SmartPass?
It is not permitted for other people to use the SmartPass 65+. If that does take place, we will have to act accordingly. The SmartPass passenger, more than one person can use this.
How many times a day can I use the SmartPass?
The pass can be used as long as there is a balance. If there is no more balance, the card has to be recharged at one of our recharging points. Post Punda, Otrabanda or Headquarters in Buena Vista.
How can I apply for a job at ABC?
To apply for a job you have to send an application letter via e-mail to email@example.com or come by the headquarters in Buena Vista to pick up an application form, fill it out and hand it in.
